These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the foup.org website, maintained by FOUP – Forum of Universities for Peace. By browsing the website or using its forms, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

2. About the website

The website presents the Forum’s actions, programs and publications and provides contact, participation and membership forms. The formal membership of institutions and volunteers in FOUP is governed by the Membership Agreement, a separate document that prevails over these Terms on specific matters.

3. Acceptable use

When using the website, you agree not to:

• provide false information or act on behalf of third parties without authorization;
• submit unlawful, offensive or discriminatory content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to access restricted areas, interfere with the operation of the website or collect data from other users;
• use the website to send unsolicited advertising.

4. Registrations and submissions

Anyone who fills in forms on behalf of an institution declares that they are authorized to represent it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.

By submitting content, such as papers to the FOUP Journal or experiences to the Best Practices Bank, you declare that you hold the necessary rights to it and authorize its publication on FOUP’s channels, with due credit, in accordance with the rules of each call.

5. Intellectual property

The FOUP brand, name and logo, as well as the texts, images and other materials on the website, are protected by intellectual property laws. Use of the brand by signatory institutions must follow the Brand Manual. Third-party content published on the website belongs to its respective authors.

6. Third-party links

The website may contain links to third-party websites and services. FOUP does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies or practices of these websites.

7. Limitation of liability

FOUP strives to keep the website available and its information accurate, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of errors. The content is provided for information purposes and may be changed without prior notice.

8. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

These Terms may be updated at any time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
